Before booking, confirm exactly which windows and surfaces are included. Then clear the access route, move small belongings away from the agreed work area and arrange access for the visit. You do not need to clean the glass beforehand.
Confirm what is included
Start with a list of the windows and glass doors you want cleaned. Include the rooms or sides of the house so an enquiry such as “six windows and the patio door” is easy to understand. A window with several panes can involve a different amount of glass from a single small pane, so photos are useful alongside a count.

Do not assume that flyscreens, security screens, detailed track cleaning or removal of paint, adhesive or stubborn marks are included. Mention these separately so we can confirm suitability before you book.
Check access as well as height
A window on the ground floor can still be awkward to reach. Send photos showing the space around it, including garden beds, narrow paths, slopes, steps or fixed furniture. For interior glass, mention any large furniture that blocks access.
Safe Work Australia recommends carrying out work on the ground or a solid construction where possible in its working-at-heights guidance. Our service is limited to suitable ground-access jobs. Do not climb onto a roof or set up a ladder to prepare a window for us; send the details so suitability can be checked.
What to send for a useful quote

- The number of windows and glass doors, with photos showing their size and layout.
- Whether you want inside glass, outside glass or both cleaned.
- Any frames, sills or other surfaces you would like considered.
- Access restrictions, screens, visible damage and marks needing particular attention.
For example, describe a single-storey home's front windows, rear windows and sliding patio door separately, and explain whether the side gate gives access to the rear. That makes the requested job clearer than asking for “all the windows” without photos.
We do not publish a fixed price for every property. The requested glass, condition and access need to be understood before the work and quote are agreed. Ask what is included in your quote rather than assuming an advertised window count covers every surface.
Prepare the property before the visit
Move small ornaments, plants and personal items from accessible sills and nearby surfaces. Leave heavy furniture for discussion rather than trying to shift it alone. Tell us about fragile items, damaged glass or frames, and anything you do not want moved.
Clear the agreed route through gates and rooms. Arrange for pets to stay away from the work area, and confirm how we will get access if you will not be there. For an exterior clean, keep the windows closed and discuss any openings that do not close properly before the visit.
Leave screens in place unless removal has specifically been agreed and you can do it safely following the manufacturer's instructions. Fixed or damaged screens should be flagged in the enquiry. There is no need to attempt high or difficult access to improve a photo.
