A garden tidy-up does not have to mean changing the whole garden. Sometimes the useful jobs are the small ones: clearing fallen leaves, hand weeding a bed and tidying the growth around a path. If you are booking a garden tidy-up on the Gold Coast, a clear list helps everyone understand the result you want.
Start with the areas you use most
Walk around your garden and note the areas you would most like to enjoy again. That might be the front entrance, the space beside the patio or a garden bed you see from the kitchen. If your time or budget is limited, label the jobs as priorities and extras so they can be discussed separately.
Be clear about what stays
Before anyone starts weeding or trimming, identify plants you want to keep. Point out young plants, new shoots and anything you are unsure about. A tidy-up should follow your preferences; a plant should not be removed just because it looks out of place.
List the everyday garden jobs
Our garden tidy-up service covers hand weeding, raking leaves, collecting loose garden debris and light, accessible trimming. Describe the work in each area instead of using only “general clean-up”. For example, “hand weed the front bed, rake the side path and lightly trim the accessible growth beside the patio” gives a much clearer starting point.
Include photos of larger or difficult jobs so suitability can be checked. Major tree work, landscaping construction and other specialist jobs should not be assumed to be part of an everyday tidy-up.
Plan for green waste
A tidy garden can leave a pile of material to deal with. Decide whether suitable waste will stay on the property in an agreed place or whether you want it removed. Tell us about existing piles too, including approximate quantities and how close they are to the access point. Green-waste and suitable rubbish removal can be discussed with the quote, including any disposal fees.
Check access before the day
Mention gates, steps, narrow side paths and where tools can be brought in. Arrange pets so the work area can be accessed, and point out irrigation lines or fragile items around the beds. These details help us agree on a practical scope before arriving.
Your booking checklist
- Your Gold Coast suburb and preferred timing.
- The areas to tidy, with your top priorities first.
- Plants and features that must be kept.
- Photos showing the current condition and access.
- Whether you need green waste taken away.
- Any extra jobs, such as lawn mowing and edging.
Send those details through our quote form and email photos if you have them. We will discuss what is suitable, confirm the work and give you a free quote so you know what is included.
